Eek! first date, advice?

okay, so i'm 17 and my real first date ever is in 4 days. the only problem is that he's 5 years older than me. my mom says i'm not allowed to date him till i turn 18 in 7 months. but anyways, that's not really the big problem, i think i can get around that. it's just that, i'm so freaking nervous! like i've never been nervous around other guys that i liked until this one. and he's known i've liked him for a while and he's like, i'll give you a chance but this is your chance to make a move. i know he's really shy, and usually I am the kind of person who would ';make a move'; but the whole nerves thing is starting to stress me out. and i don't know, i'm just getting shaky here thinking about it =[ any advice?Eek! first date, advice?
honeslty don't be nervous, he's prob just as nervous if not more than you. jsut relax and the key thing to remember be yourself. No one likes fake people, you'll be suprised that he's nervous to. I mean when my bf and i went on a date i was nervous the whole what to wear. I remember i was calling my freind saying that i was about to call him and say i can't do this, i mean i was so nervous i couldn't eat let alone breath. I thought i was going to be sick. So relax, breath and if this may happend that you made a fool out of your self who cares act it out like you ment to do that. Just breath and you'll do fine. U said ur self that he's a shy guy so he's going to be worse which is good cause he'll be totally nervous that you'll forget about being nervous and he'll forget about u being nervous.Eek! first date, advice?
My only advice is that with the age difference, if you guys ';messed around';, it's considered statutory rape. So, I would keep it G-rated friendly until you turn 18.

Well just be ur self and do not agree to do anything you are not comfortable with.
Just be yourself. If you act phony, he will know it. Take a deep breath before you go out and remember I will not sleep with him because that messes everything up. You can also tell him you are nervous. There is nothing wrong with being truthfull.
He wants you to be confident...go shopping, buy a great new outfit...it sounds shallow but the better you look the better you will feel, when you walk out the door you will be more confident. Just be yourself, don't hold back because it seems like he wants to see the real you.

Second of all, you are a minor, he could get into allot of trouble dating you right now.


Think about it, if you went out with him and he was just to kiss you, and maybe feel you up, and your mom finds out she can have him arrested for STATUTORY RAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!


It doesn't have to even be your mother to do it either.


After all he is a grow en man, they are usually after one thing, FRESH MEAT!!!!!!

Just remember that your mother has been at your age and so have I, I am 31 years old, and we all know what is probable going to happen if you go out with him.


She is just trying to protect you, from being hurt, I would listen carefully to what she says.

Be yourself! act like your hanging out with one of your girlfriends. But be careful...he is like 22 right? He could be looking for something more then just a date with you. Anyways just go for it. Honestly? there's something sketchy here.. The first thing that bothers me is that he's five years older; the second is that he doesn't seem that into you and he seems to be just using you... If you really liked a guy would you say ';okey, but this is your one chance?'; Don't do anything you'll regret..
