Help with first date! Advice welcomed?

I'm interested with a girl at work, and she's something special. I've asked her to Homecoming but she denied that because of parents (I don't think she would lie to me) and I want to appear persistent but too much, just to where she knows that I'm taking bold risks to spend time with her and coming out of my shell.

It's not the asking out, or where to go, what to wear, etc. It's transportation. We're both 17 and the state laws says that we must take driver's ed before we're able to try for our license or wait until you're 18. So she has her's but I don't have mine since I haven't taken driver's ed, but I turn 18 in February. But I don't want to wait four months since so much can happen and I barely get to see her as it is since we don't have that many hours scheduled. What should I do? Should I ask her out and offer to pay for the gas? Any suggestions? Thank you!Help with first date! Advice welcomed?
taxi? :)

that way neither of you have to drive, but you can be a gentleman when you pay ;)Help with first date! Advice welcomed?
haha its not too big of a deal if you explain the situation and ask her to drive (offering to pay for gas is your decision, personally i would think it unnecessary and decline the offer)

you could meet somewhere but driving together is fun
Take the risk. I know this may sound stupid, but think of this event in your life as a romantic comedy. Have fun, expect to look a little silly and take risks. Good luck and enjoy this time in your life.
